Characteristics of Vertical Mill
1. The relative sliding between the millstone and grinding roller is very small, thus the rotate speed could be fast and the grinding roller pressure is high. Therefore the output is higher compared with other types grinding roller under the same specifications.
2. It integrates the drying, grinding, selecting at the same time, with the simple technical process and lower noise.
3. It’s suitable for the air swept and material circulation system. The latter can greatly reduce the power consumption of ventilation system.
4. Ventilation ring gap in mill can be flexibly adjusted according to the distribution of the material, in order to reduce ventilation resistance and power consumption.
5. For four roller mill, grinding roller can press the roller respectively or press the 4 rollers at the same time, in order to adapt to the change of material bed. If press the roller separately, we can use the different working pressures thus a pair of rollers in smaller pressure has a dual role of bed material and milling preparation. The pair of roller under higher working pressure grinds the harsh material, which plays an important role on keeping the stability of the bed material. In the process of operation, the working pressure can be set up based on the operation of the roller. The rigidity of the hydraulic pressure system is suitable and the adjustment scope is wide, in order to meet the demand of the raw materials for the different grinding degrees.
6. The roller can automatically lift or fall down, realizing no-load starting to reduce the motor starting torque.

Working Principle of Vertical Mill
After the material collocation from the feeding port to the disc, disc rotates driven by the main motor. Due to the centrifugal force, the material is dispersed around the millstone. Under the gravity of grinder roll and the grinding force, the shear force of grinder roller to the material changes into material extrusion and grinding. Some large particles fall into the nozzle ring and then scraper out of the grinding chamber through the scraper blade, while the grinder roller rotates under the friction of material. The high temperature waste gas from the kiln or blast stove enters into the mill through the nozzle ring, then producing the Vortex wind, which will proceed the preheating drying of material. The grinded materials suspend the certain fineness materials to the separator under the pumping force. A portion of the particles enter into the mill for grinding again through weighted value due to the collision with the guide vane, the collision among the materials and the centrifugal force of the material and the material, and then the qualified materials are collected by a cyclone dust collector.
