In December 2017, due to demand for lime calcination, a customer in Nepal ordered a Henan ZK Machinery lime shaft kiln production line for lime calcination with 100 TPD. The equipment installation was completed in November 2018 and passed the acceptance inspection.
2. Project Overview
The vertical lime kiln uses the principle of heat exchange between the downward movement of materials under their own weight and the upward movement of hot gas to burn lime. At present, there are many lime firing equipment and methods. The production line with rotary kiln as the main equipment is the most commonly used, but it requires large investment and covers a wide area. After inspection, many owners were deterred due to lack of funds. There is almost no low-cost, safe and environmentally friendly small-capacity activated lime production line equipment. In view of this, in 2017, a customer in Nepal wanted to purchase a set of equipment for lime firing. Although he researched many manufacturers, he was unable to proceed. When he came into contact with ZK Machinery, all worries were solved. After a short communication, he quickly decided to order a complete set of equipment for the shaft kiln lime production line. The two parties signed a supply contract in December 2017, and the equipment installation and commissioning was completed in November 2018.
The production line has a designed production capacity of 100TPD, stable and reliable operation, environmental protection and energy saving, and a high degree of automation.
2. Solution
The equipment supplied this time is a vertical kiln with a volume of 200 cubic meters, as well as centrifugal fans, cyclone dust collectors, chimneys, rod feeders, jaw crushers and other equipment.
This production line has the following advantages:
1. The construction location of the production line is an open space on a hillside, with a limited area and a large terrain difference. Material transportation, flue gas emissions, and equipment layout are reasonable and compact, otherwise the production needs cannot be met.
2. Compared with other limestone firing processes, this production line is more energy-saving.
3. The production line is equipped with a jaw crusher for crushing the limestone before entering the kiln, which can avoid raw and over-burning of limestone blocks that are too large or have too large differences in particle size. This not only stabilizes product quality, but also saves energy.
4. Compared with the rotary kiln, the vertical kiln limestone firing process is simple, the equipment has fewer moving parts and low power consumption.
