Rotary kiln (kiln) is a cylinder with a certain slope of 3 ~ 3.5%. With kiln rotation, it promotes material stirred in a rotary kiln (kiln), makes material mixed with each other to have a reaction. Silicon thermal method: Calcinate the dolomite (a mixture of CaCO3 and MgCO3), obtained calcined dolomite (a mixture of Cao and MgO) after decomposition, then obtained the metal magnesium through the reduction reaction. Two tons of dolomite can get a ton of calcined dolomite.

(CaO - MgO) +si=2CaO - SiO2+2Mg

Using rotary kiln to calcinate the dolomite can be continuous production, which has the advantages of large production capacity, high degree of mechanization, easy operation and maintenance, high activity of calcined dolomite, low cauterant decrease, high magnesium extraction rate. With the rotation of the rotary kiln, the material of the kiln get a full roll, which strengthen the radiation heat transfer process. The raw material is heated evenly and calcinated fully, and the calcination temperature is easy to control.
