Broken is the scattered material particles’ size decreases and the shape change process, whose the purpose is generally divided into : preparing raw materials for further processing, and easy to transport, storage and provide products. With the continuous progress of science and technology, material crushing methods also made great progress, but generally will be divided into mechanical forces and non-mechanical force.
Mechanical forces are generally divided into:
1. Squeeze broken
Extrusion crushing is to put broken material between two working surfaces, at the slowly increased pressure, the materials are gradually squeezed and crushed, which is the most common method.
2. Impact crusher

3. Grinding broken

4. Splitting broken

5. Curved broken
Materials are crushed by the bending force in two or more of the fulcrum’s intermediate parts. Common non-mechanical forces are: blasting crushing, sonication, thermal fragmentation, high frequency electromagnetic waves breaking, crushing effects of hydropower, hydraulic fracturing etc.
