II. Customer Project Overview
The customer, a fellow equipment manufacturer, required supporting equipment for their project. In October 2024, they ordered a disc granulator from Henan Zhengzhou Mining Machinery Co., Ltd. for granulating calcium chloride dihydrate powder. The equipment was manufactured and shipped on schedule in November 2024.
Through online research, the customer learned of our extensive expertise in powder granulation, testing, equipment selection, and manufacturing solutions. They contacted us to support the granulation section of their project. After communication, we identified the material parameters: temperature 70–80°C, particle size 200–300 mesh (74–53 μm), target granule size 2–3 mm, and capacity 2 t/h. The material is prone to adhesion and caking when exposed to water. Based on technical experience, our engineers preliminarily selected the PQ22 Disc Granulator. The customer then sent samples for granulation testing, which fully met the end-user’s requirements.
During the design phase, the customer emphasized:
- Material corrosiveness and water-induced caking/adhesion issues
- Need to resolve on-site dust pollution
- Requirement for self-cleaning functionality
- Automated water addition system
Our engineering team optimized equipment materials and structure, added specialized configurations, and revised designs through multiple iterations and discussions with the customer. A mutually satisfactory design was finalized.
Due to prolonged prior discussions between the customer and end-user, our production timeline was exceptionally tight. Through close coordination across departments, we met the committed delivery date and shipped the equipment on schedule.
After arrival on-site, our team guided installation and commissioning. Single-machine trial production has now been completed.
