PRODUCTION PROCESS

This pilot line is designed to simulate industrial production processes, providing a reliable platform for experimentation and optimization in mineral and material processing. Through multi-stage process simulations—including crushing, screening, grinding, batching, granulation, drying, calcination, and cooling—it accurately replicates real-world production conditions, facilitating product development, process improvement, and parameter optimization.  

✔  Core Process Stages  

1. Crushing & Screening

   - Jaw crushing, hammer crushing, or impact crushing reduces raw materials (e.g., dolomite, limestone, bauxite) to target particle sizes.  

   - Vibrating screens or air classifiers ensure precise particle size distribution for downstream processes.  

2. Grinding & Batching  

   - Ball milling or vertical milling further refines materials (e.g., kaolin, zinc oxide) to meet high-precision fineness requirements.  

   - Dynamic batching systems enable accurate mixing of multi-component materials (e.g., cement clinker, LECA).  

3. Granulation & Drying  

   - Disc granulation or extrusion granulation transforms powders into high-strength granules (suitable for LECA, ceramic bodies, etc.).  

   - Rotary drying removes moisture, enhancing material stability.  

4. Calcination & Cooling  

   - Rotary kiln calcination (e.g., magnesite for refractory products, limestone for active lime).  

   - Rotary cooling systems tailor product properties (e.g., pore structure in LECA, mineral phases in clinker).

In order to meet the clients’requirement for technical research and development, reducing the R&D cost, and improving the success of industrial production for expended aggregate, ceramsite proppant, solid waste disposal, we, ZK Corp, had designed and built a pilot plant which including the grinding, granulating and clacining platform, which can do the raw materials analysis, formula designing, samples-making,calcination and pilot test for various building type expended aggregate,LECA,ceramsite proppant, and solid waste disposal etc.

This pilot plant includes raw materials crushing, grinding,mixing, granulating, drying (or solidifying), calcining, cooling, packaging, waste gas treatment, dust disposal, automation control, and waste gas on-line analysis etc, which forms a whole production process for Pilot test. The process of our pilot plant has the same process with the large-scale industrial production line. It has the advantages of wide application in different processes, high intelligence, less environmental pollution and less energy consumption etc.
