China intermittent ceramic ball mill processing carbon powder material project

1. Project Cases

A large special steel enterprise successfully resolved the preparation challenges of high-purity carbon/pitch composite materials by introducing the JQM-1000 intermittent ceramic ball mill. Faced with industry pain points such as severe metal contamination (Fe content up to 320ppm) in traditional grinding processes, pitch adhesion causing equipment scaling, and time-consuming multi-batch cleaning, the company adopted an innovative wet grinding solution:

1. Configured three-stage zirconia ceramic grinding media (Φ30/25/20mm combination) and anti-adhesion coated liners

2. Achieved precise mixing of 50-mesh carbon powder and 8mm pitch raw materials through intelligent variable frequency control at 28-35 rpm

3. After 4-6 hours of dynamic grinding, the product fineness consistently reached D97 ≤ 88μm (170 mesh)

4. Metal impurities were drastically reduced to 12ppm Fe (a 96% decrease)

5. Single-batch processing capacity increased to 850kg

Notably, the IoT-enabled system monitors slurry viscosity in real time, while the dual-cooling design reduces energy consumption to 18.5 kW·h/ton, achieving 37% energy savings compared to traditional equipment.

3. Process Advantages

This process has now been extended to high-end applications such as graphene conductive slurry. Key benefits include:

1. Cleaning time per cycle shortened to 25 minutes

2. Annual comprehensive costs reduced by over 35%

3. Product qualification rate surged to 99.6%

The innovation was recognized as a benchmark case in the 2023 "Lithium Battery Anode Material Preparation Technology White Paper."
