The box of the bag dust collector is fixed. The outside is exposed to wind and rain all year round, and the inside is polluted by the gas being processed. The conditions are quite harsh. Box maintenance is divided into internal and external parts.
1. External maintenance
External maintenance mainly involves checking paint, leakage, bolts and surrounding sealing conditions. For high-temperature and high-humidity gases, in order to prevent condensation and ensure safety, there is generally an external insulation layer such as rock wool, glass wool, and polyphenylester. After the insulation layer is wetted by rain, it will accelerate the corrosion of the box. Therefore, the dust collector placed in the open air should be paid full attention to whenever it rains.
2. Internal maintenance
The inside of the box is in an environment that is prone to condensation, dust adhesion, and gas dissolution that may cause corrosion. The welded parts between steel plates, between steel plates and angle steel, and the edges of flower boards where filter bags are installed are all parts that are susceptible to corrosion. Therefore, when repairing the interior of the box, it is important to pay attention to choosing corrosion-resistant coatings and coating them on easily corroded or corroded parts in a timely manner. Under normal circumstances, because the purification gas is mostly acidic, epoxy resin-based acid-resistant coatings are often used.
3. Gap repair
The gaps in the box are generally padded with rubber, rubber pads, asbestos pads, etc. to prevent gas leakage. As time goes by, some gaskets will age, deteriorate, become damaged and fall off, causing air leakage to intensify. During maintenance, if the above phenomena are found, we should take it seriously, replace it, or plug the leak, and try to avoid air leakage. Among the existing leak-stopping materials, epoxy resin and leak-proof cement are both better materials. Holes formed by dust erosion must be repaired and welded.
