The role of ceramsite into a ball: granulation into a ball plays a decisive role in ceramsite production. Simply put, it has four functions:
1.Determine the early strength and influence the late strength. The ceramsite has a certain early strength after granulation. This strength is good, the damage rate will be very low during transportation and curing; on the contrary, the damage rate will be high. The granulation process is advanced, the newly-formed billet is more than 2m above the ground, and the landing will not be broken, and the yield is high. On the contrary, the newly-made material is extremely fragile and the yield is very low.
In addition, the granulated ceramsite has a high degree of compactness and tends to be high in the later stage. If the granulation is not good, the ceramsite is loose and loose, which will affect the late strength and reduce the strength of the finished ceramsite. To some extent, it is the basis for the late strength development of ceramsite.
2.Determine the appearance quality of the granules such as grain shape and finish. As the saying goes: "Sell a piece of leather", although not correct, also shows that the appearance of the product is crucial. The granulation process shapes the ceramsite and gives it a round, smooth and beautiful exterior. The quality of granulation determines the quality of its shape. A good granulation process can make it evenly sized, smooth and beautiful. A bad granulation process, the appearance of the ceramsite is rough, and the size of the granules is uneven, which will destroy its image. Therefore, granulation determines its external quality.
3.Influence the basic quality of ceramsite. In addition to the above-mentioned main quality of appearance quality, strength and water absorption, granulation also affects other qualities of ceramsite, such as ceramsite softening coefficient, durability, frost resistance and the like. Granulated ceramsite, high softening system, good durability, and low frost resistance due to low water absorption. If the granulation is not good, these technical indicators will also be affected, especially the durability, which will be greatly affected.
4. Affect the water absorption rate of ceramsite. The factors affecting the water absorption of the ceramsite mainly include the water absorption of the raw material, the performance of the pore former, and the quality of the molding granulation. Among many factors, the quality of forming granulation is undoubtedly the most important. The granulation quality is high, the pore sealing property is good, the capillary pores are small and refined, and the water absorption rate is lower. If the molding granulation is not good, the water absorption rate will be high.
