Adjustment of Belt Conveyor Deviation
Release Date: 2020.08.31 Views:

Belt conveyors often deviate during operation. Long-term deviating operation will cause serious belt wear and even belt tearing, causing sudden accidents.

The main reasons for belt deviation are as follows:

1.Installation problems or improper belt conveyor joints cause the centerline of the belt conveyor head and tail rollers to be non-parallel, so that the tightness of the two sides of the belt is different, and the belt runs off the tight side;

2. The belt conveyor rollers are not in the same horizontal position, but one end is high and the other is low, the belt will deviate to the higher end;

3. The center line of the belt conveyor roller is not perpendicular to the belt running direction, but one end is in the front and the other end is in the back (depending on the belt running direction), the belt will deviate to the rear end;

4. The belt conveyor idler roller sticky mud or the internal bearing of the idler roller is damaged, resulting in unsmooth rotation or stalling;

5. The uneven distribution of materials on both sides of the belt will result in no deviation in idling and deviation in heavy load operation.

Combined with the causes of deviation, the main solutions are as follows:

1. Adjust the tensioning device to make the belt tightness on both sides consistent;

2.Adjust the belt conveyor idler rollers with spacers to make them in the same horizontal position;

3. Adjust or replace the belt conveyor idler frame to make the centerline of the idler vertical to the belt running direction;

4.Clean the idler roller, and drop a few drops of mechanical oil on the idler bearing to reduce the frictional resistance of the idler rotation and speed up the idler rotation;

5. Correct the guide trough or install a guide plate in the guide trough, change the angle of the blanking, so as to adjust the material flow direction at any time, so that the material on both sides of the belt is evenly distributed;

6. In addition, install belt stop rollers on both sides of the belt. On one hand, the belt is forced to reset due to the force of the stopper roller; on the other hand, due to the friction between the stopper roller and the edge of the belt, the linear speed on the side of the belt is reduced, and the linear speed on the other side of the belt is relatively increased. Move the belt to the other side until it resets.
