The double roller granulator uses a motor to drive the reducer with a belt, and then drives the fixed roller and the movable rod to rotate synchronously through a chain. The material is passed between the two rods from above, and is squeezed by the double shafts and extruded from the round hole on the roller. While squeezing, the air between the material particles can also be discharged to increase the density and strength of the particles.

The use of this double roller granulator has certain requirements on the properties of the material. In order to achieve better granulation effect and higher granulation efficiency, the moisture content of the material is best controlled at about 25%. In addition, due to the limitation of its granulation principle, the double roller granulator requires that the quality of the raw materials should be relatively uniform and should not contain impurities with high hardness, such as iron blocks, otherwise it is easy to damage the roller skin.

The roller skin is a consumable part. After a period of use, the diameter of the through hole on the roller skin will wear and become larger, and it needs to be replaced to a certain extent. Taking this into consideration, the double roller granulator adopts a design of separation of the hub and the roller skin. When replacing the roller skin, you only need to remove the roller skin on the outside of the hub, then put on a new roller skin, and tighten it with fasteners.
